(Voice Over Internet Protocol)
A system for making cheap phone calls over the internet instead
of via the telephone system.
One advantage of VoIP is that for any telephone calls you don't
have to pay any extra telephone bills beyond what the user is
paying for Internet access, much in the same way that the user
doesn't pay for sending individual e-mails over the Internet.
There are many Internet telephony applications available like
vonage, IP telephony, or Voice over the Internet (VOI)
