Rental Payment Options

General Renting Information

Rental prices vary from company to comapny, so you should get quotes before you set your heart on one specific supplier. Below are some common answers to payment related queries:

How often should I pay ?
Generally a deposit equal to one payment + VAT has to be paid on the acceptance of your business by the lease company and before any goods are delivered. Later you will pay monthly or quarterly over the lease term agreed. Other payment periods and options are available different with local and national government departments.

When should I pay?
Generally the initial deposit will be required before the equipment is delivered. You will then normally pay the first rental about 7-10 days or so after the equipment arrives. The second and henceforth rentals will follow on a monthly or quarterly basis according the lease term agreement.

What happens if the laptop has a fault ?
Check if warranty is still covered by the rental company, but essentially speak to the supplier of the laptop. If you have a problem with your laptop you must continue to pay the rent or otherwise you will break your contract with the rental company. Think of it in another way;, if you have a loan from a bank to purchase car, you would not go back to the bank to get your car repaired if it is broken down, instead you would go back to the garage you bought it from.

What happens at the end of the rental term?

When your rental term comes to an end you can select to do one of the following:

  1. One can either continue to pay the rent at a reduced rate and keep the laptop.
  2. Pay some amount to the rental company and the laptop becomes yours.
  3. Upgrade to a latest model and renew the rental aggrement.
  4. Handover the laptop back and end the lease.
